Our Founder |
Born in Connemara, Ireland, Ciaran Naughton, the founder of C. Naughton Corp., emigrated to Boston in 1990.
Ciaran's first job, like so many other Irish men in Boston, was with Vinnie Mawn, a successful utilities contractor. Ciaran's first role was as a laborer, working alongside his father, Josie Naughton, on the BWSC tidegates surrounding Boston proper. A few years later, Ciaran purchased his first piece of equipment – a used Case 580L backhoe. Subcontracting work began. Steady growth followed as Ciaran added equipment to his fleet and skilled employees to his team. In 2010, Ciaran made the decision to branch out and began bidding public work. C. Naughton Corp. has since completed hundreds of projects for cities, towns and municipalities throughout Massachusetts. |
